Hawzah News Agency- Hojatoleslam Seyyed Mohammad Mousavifard made the remarks during a meeting of cultural deputies and women's affairs officials from Friday prayer offices across Khuzestan Province, held at the Friday prayer leader's office in Ahvaz.
The gathering opened with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by remarks from Hojatoleslam Soltani, cultural deputy of the provincial representative's office, who addressed cultural issues.
Divine Love as the Foundation of Creation
In his address, Mousavifard underscored the centrality of divine love in the journey of human life, stating that the universe was created upon the foundation of love, and that through sincere servitude, human beings can attain the station of being beloved by God Almighty.
"Wherever a person finds himself, he must first strive to become a lover of God Almighty and act with sincerity, so that people may know that the true beloved of humanity is God," he said.
Citing the Quranic verse, "Say: If you love Allah, then follow me," the cleric explained that adherence to the divine path and the teachings of the Holy Prophet is the way to attain the love of God.
Respecting the Rights of Others
Mousavifard also highlighted the observance of people's rights—known in Islamic teachings as "haqq al-nas"—as one of the most important factors in an individual's spiritual growth.
"Violating the rights of others can pose a serious obstacle in the path of human elevation," he said. "For this reason, throughout history, the infallible Imams have placed great emphasis on upholding the rights of people and fulfilling them."
The Two Divine Proofs
Referring to well-known hadith which states that God has placed two proofs upon humanity—one outward and one inward—Mousavifard explained that the outward proof consists of the prophets, saints and divine successors, while the inward proof is the human intellect.
"Every human being possesses two divine guides," he said. "To benefit from the guidance of the outward proof, one must also draw upon one's intellect and innate divine nature."
He stressed that activating this inward proof and making proper use of reason in life is a duty incumbent upon all.
Unity Under Attack
Turning to the current climate, Mousavifard warned that the enemy has set its sights on what he described as the most important factor behind the victory of the Islamic establishment—namely, unity and cohesion.
"Today, the enemy has targeted the unity and solidarity of our society, a matter that the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution has repeatedly emphasized," he said.
The cleric said the enemy seeks to undermine unity in practice and create rifts among the people, attempting to pit society against itself.
"Therefore, preserving empathy and cohesion is an essential necessity under current conditions," Mousavifard added.
On Modest Living
Addressing the issue of chaste and modest living, the provincial representative stressed the need for a rational and balanced approach.
"To realize this matter, we must engage with it through a wise and logical approach—neither remaining indifferent to it, nor distancing ourselves from its principles and values," he concluded.
